Ask The Mountains

Hello everyone. I hope all is well.

The inspiration of this painting came from all the time I spent in the mountains and hills of California landscape watching the sunrises and sunsets. The sky is heavily influenced by what I saw on top of Rockypeak mountain which is between the San Fernando Valley and Simi Valley.

This painting is nearly 9 ~ 10 years old. I started it back in 2010. I liked it so much that I didn't want to finish it until I put a proper front ground. However, in those years that spanned nearly a decade, I couldn't think of anything to add to it.

I didn't want another painting to be shelved in my archive with many others and never be shared, so today I decided to show it to the world.

I miss the mountains a lot, and no form of art expression can fully describe this, but I hope with this some of the pardon of longing will be taken off from my chest and manifest outside as a beautiful creation.

I hope you enjoy viewing the painting as much I did painting it.
